woody234 Posted November 22, 2008 Share Posted November 22, 2008 do usb flash drives or external hard drives come with a password protect system so if they get lost or stolen the criminal cannot open the files, ive downloaded and tried some free software and put my files in to the encrypted file on my usb stick but ive found that anyone can delete the whole lot with 2 clicks of a mouse Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

In that case I wouldn't be worried about the data being wiped. Keeping it hidden from prying eyes by encryption is a sensible idea and some, rather dearer than most, sticks come with built-in encryption facilities.
