AnOther
Apparently in the name of being 'green' Sky have incorporated an auto standby feature into their software download.I don't know specifically which boxes this actually affects, in fact it seems almost haphazard as one of my Amstrad DRX100's has been updated but the other, a slightly newer one with later firmware, has not. So if yours suddenly decides to turn itself off have a look in the Services menu where you might find a new item 5 Auto Standby in the ON state. Jazzer
Thanks for that. I thought I had problems. My newre Pace box goes into Standby, the much older Panasonic does not.
Baz
I had the same problem a couple of days ago. I rang Sky who made me do a number of thing including removing the Sat cable, after 10 minutes of crawling behind th box they sent a signal and informed that the faulty had been rectified. But a couple of hours later went into standby and just by chance I found Auto standby in services, problem solved. That does show that Sky staff do not even know about the alteration.ErnieY this does not happen to only older boxes as mine is brand new replacement of about six months.Baz
Mr Coeur de Lion
I was told by our installer that the box must be kept on at all times in order to receive any updates. Kind of defeats the purpose if they've updated the boxes to turn off automatically.
