Making friends

Are there any other couples within about 30 miles of
York who would be interested in meeting up from time
to time to exchange information and experiences about
searching for/buying/owning a property in France?
We'd really appreciate the chance to meet like-minded
people socially.
Another idea we have is to get togeher a few people within
reacb of York to brush up our French in those
subjects which are of particular relevance to property
owners - with the help of a French teacher I hasten
to add!

Hi Carol,

We are about 15 miles from York (Selby direction), and would be interested in meeting others with an interest in property in France.

My wife is currently taking another French course in York this year, whereas I am more into the practical side (have spent the last couple of years taking building and joinery courses at York Tech).

We are now actively looking for a property, and head off to France for a weeks house hunting in Normandy (we have 4 days worth of immobilier meetings booked) on Saturday.

It sounds from your post that you already have a property!, but I don't think you mentioned where it was.
