He would like his renovation to effectively double the size of building. Are there national or regional limits to what he can do? How far should he / can he check feasibility before making his offer? You must check locally to see what co-efficient the POS allows for.Multiply the co-efficient by the land surface area to get the maximum size for the building.Doubling the size of a building requires full planning approval.
