Quillan
I have managed to get my hands on (well not till next week when it arrives) a Nokia N95 at long last with SFR. Before anyone says why didn't you go to Orange, their website (which is the only way to get the phone for a Euro) does not take my address for ordering online even having spent over an hour with the Orange help desk. Strange Orange has no problems in billing me for my ADSL and sending be all the box's etc to use it [+o(] .Now the phone has Wifi and I wondered if I can use VOIP on the phone to make calls from such places at McDonald's or within my own house or from other Wifi 'Hot Spots' for free or much less than using the mobile tariff and if so what software do I need (if any) and how do I do it? Basically has anyone done this and if so how? Is it true that there is some limitation in France with using Wifi in public places and what are those limits? Mr Coeur de Lion
My palm treo has wifi on as does Lynda's itouch. We use skype to call each other from other parts of our property (not that our property is big or anything). Mainly use it as a gimmik, but it does work.We set it up through the www.skype.com site. Pierre ZFP
I don't know the nokia n95 but if it's just another mobile device (Windoze mobile 6 ?) then, yes. Skype mobile just .... works. Just like any good application should do.
