Thebiga
We have several gites and we would like to somehow give internet access to them as a lot of other places are doing the same now.I have no idea atall about wi-fi etc so, Can you have a mast or whatever put up so that all the properties can receive internet access or is it a case of having a pnone line put in and go along the normal internet route. Its just that they are only used a small amount of the year so I don't want to be paying a monthly bill etc when they are empty. Anyone got any ideas? Thanks in advance. Pierre ZFP
wi fi extenders and repeaters are readily available, no extra lines, no monthly cost. There was a discussion here a while ago http://www.completefrance.com/cs/forums/1136419/ShowPost.aspxIf you are in a faily rural location there shouldn't be much to worry about but if you are in town it might be worth considering the security aspects of someone feeding off your bandwidth and giving your guests specific access your connection rather than leaving it open.
