Rod Jones
I'm thinking of sending my Livebox back and using a two year old BT Voyager 2110. My PC can talk to the router quite happily, but when I try to connect to the Orange network, it seems to have difficulty with the xxx/yyyyyyy format 'Identifiant de connexion. Has anyone had any succes with this approach? Thanks,Rod
hoverfrog
if it's compatible you should be able to set all the relevant parameters manually.Does it have a web interface where you can alter settings?
AnOther
I think the 2110 may be locked to BT and will not work with any other ISP without some hacking. It can be done and I have a 2910 which I sucessfully hacked.THIS site is good starting place. Rod Jones
Yes, when I'm connected to the Voyager network, I can go to 'Voyager.home' (or “http://192.168.1.1”) via Internet Explorer, at which point I'm prompted for my Broadband User Name and Password. When I enter the Orange xxx/yyyyyyy identifier and password, it tries to connect to Orange, but gives up after a minute or so. I remember when I used the Voyager in the UK, the User Name was of the format nnnnnnnnnnnnnnn@talktalk.net, where the nnnnnnnnnnnnnnn was our phone number. It has never been used with any British Telecom ISP...Rod
