frexpt
Does anyone know whether it is possible to buy one of these in France?
Théière
Do you mean a sky specific version or a general?
frexpt
I need two feeds for a Sky Plus box and two for a Humax Foxsat HD box. The LNB I brought from the UK is faulty....only three of the four ports are working. I have swapped the boxes and cables around and our local installer has confirmed it is the LNB that is the problem.
Anton Redman
If your dish is a black mesh UK style dish which is wider than it is high you will either have to buy mail order from the UK or visit one of the specialist dealers who set up Sky in France. If on the other heand you have anormal French dish which is taller than it is wide most decent Hypermarkets and electrical shops stock them. The Sky dish has a smaller neck. frexpt
I see! Yes, this is a UK Sky mesh dish, fitted a few years ago, but the new LNB I brought out this time came with a selection of fittings. I am wondering whether it may be worth changing the dish to a larger one at the same time. The Humax reception is 95% strength, 100% quality, but the Sky Plus box is only around 60% strength, 70% quality.Good to know that I should be able to find everything locally. Thanks for the replies. Anton Redman
Provided you are not getting artifacts big blocks during high speed action or sport and you are not getting pixiliation ( small splashes of colour) then I would leave well alone. AnOther
Just a point, there is no such thing as an HD LNB, nor HD Coax as I've seen advertised. Your standard kit in good condition is all that is required.
Martin963
I was just about to say the same thing AnO. Good for you!And - lest there be any doubt - there is no such thing as a digital aerial, or a digitally enhanced aerial, or digital cable, or the like. So avoid anyone who tries to sell you such nonsense!
Jay
How about THIS ONE . It's from eBay UK but he delivers to France.
