Thebiga
I had to unplug my Sky box yesterday but now it only comes up as 'No satellite signal'! All I did was unplug it move it a bit and now it doesn't want to know. Got a freeview digi box from another property and no problem but it would be nice if I could get the sky box to go as it has a few more stations.Any ideas? Théière
How long did you leave it plugged in?
JohnRoss
Might be worth checking the co-axial F connector on the cable from the LNB on the dish for a good connection and no shorts. This cable provides power to the LNB as well as signal from the LNB. Also if box is going to fail it is most likely to fail on power up than at any other time, sorry.....................JR
Quillan
Snow, have you had any? We lost our signal last night and I had to go and GENTLY brush the snow off the LNB and dish.
Thebiga
The coaxial cable is fine as a freeview digi-box works on the same cable. No snow here so not that and it was unplugged for about 15 minutes only.
JohnRoss
Don't know if any of this helps. http://www.sam-radford.me.uk/nosignal.htm ........................JRPS Trying the box on another dish sounds like a good first check to me though from what you say i.e. that the cable and LNB/dish work on another box then it would seem that the fault must be in the Sky box. Software or hardware that is the question!
