Mobile phone signal strength

My mobile phone signal strength has never been fantastic at home, but since this morning, it has been non existent. I'm with orange.

I've been for a walk around the village and generally it would be on at least 3 bars in the village centre, but today it's lucky to hit one.

I can only assume (and hope) that work is being done on the mast perhaps? Does anyone know of a site that you can check up to see if the service in your area is being affected by work?

Must be doing work as the signal was normal again after 5pm last night and now, during the day it's non existent.

Orange hmmmmmmm. When we arrived here I bought a 'pay as you go card' from them and found that there was absolutely no cover at all in our village. I went into the "shop" in Chateauroux and told the woman who served me. Gallic shrug and, "C'est possible", and, dismissing me she called for the next in the queue - and that was that.
