In the absence of 'Which' (because you have to pay) I always look at the reviews on Amazon of things I am buying. I know some people give bad reviews because they can't even open the box, others good reviews because they work for the company but you can soon work out which ones these are and ignore them. The Panasonic 850 with the Blue Ray writer looks very good value for money as that was nearly £1000 at the end of last year. Just wish I had £500 to spare! Martin963 Posted June 9, 2010 Share Posted June 9, 2010 Being picky here, but is there any chance that someone (a mod perhaps?) could change the title of this thread to "freesat Receivers and Recorders".Whilst the terminology is not helpful it is actually the key to distinguishing between broadcast platforms, and of course Freeview is of no use to anyone in France as it is unavailable outside Britain.As I say, I'm being picky.
