Beta versions graduate via RC versions before going final.

IE8 bugs &issues, no problems here on 3 machines.

Similar to the previous IE8 the torn page icon will appear on older incompatible sites.

An example of a site which does not work with IE9 is the BRGM site and unless the icon is activated, located immediately to the right of the address bar, the 1/50000 Geological Maps available with InfoTerre Visualiser will not be displayed. When the icon is activated on a delinquent site it turns a heavenly shade of blue.
