Chrissie
Our email Address Book (Outlook Express) suddenly seems to have lost a whole chunk of people. Is it backed up anywhere on our computer?Chrissie (81)
AnOther
Odd that it has shrunk and it may be that it has become corrupted. It's held in a single file called with a .wab extension but it's location varies with different versions of windows so you may have to search for it.Unfortunately there is no backup as such but there are programmes which claim to recover a corrupted fileFor instance http://www.recoverytoolbox.com/wab_recovery.html but I'm sure if you searched you'd find something FREE to do the same job.Good luck
Chrissie
Thanks for that - the only *wab file is the same, so somehow it has become corrupted. However, I did take a backup onto disc about a year ago, and between that and a lot of "saved" emails I think I've reconstituted most of it. A warning to us all to back up Address Book and Favourites regularly!Chrissie (81)
