Beware Marks and Spencer phishing attempts

Marks and Spencer warned yesterday that their email service provider had been subjected to a security breach, and as a result it is possible that customers may receive emails or phishing attempts that appear to be genuine.

Play.com and Trip Advisor have also suffered similar security breaches recently, their users have been warned to be extra cautious.

Thanks for the reminder Cat. I had an email from them yesterday making light of the issue, blaming a third party and finally assuring me of their unswerving focus on web security. It was this last point which really got me worried!!
