coffeeaddict
My daughter is travelling to France and Belgium from Canada for 10 days and I would like her to have local cell service while there. Any suggestions? I can't unlock her Canadian phone as it is not GSM, so can't just get a SIM card.
EuroTrash
For a new cheapie phone, a sim card and a bit of credit you would probably pay around 30 euros. I think you can currently get a Virgin package that includes sim, phone and 5 euros credit from Leclerc for 28.80, probably an extra top-up would be needed if she uses the phone to call Canada. Your daughter would need to show her passport and also provide an address in France in order to purchase a sim card (it has to be a valid address but they don't check that you actually live there). Hope this helps
