jen
Just seen that orange fr do various passes for wifi connection from an hour to a month for 19 euros, anyone used these - and are the hotspots easy to connect to?
AnOther
Can't see any reason why connecting to an Orange WiFi hotspot should be more difficulty than connecting to any other, Usually it's no more than a user ID and PW with perhaps a bit of preliminary personal information in the first instance. Bogus works 99/100 and my personal nom de plume of choice is Joe Bloggs with an email address of Joe@bloggs.com, Finding the Hotspots in the first place could be the bigger hurdle.Have you got a link to their offers and particularly a map of where the Hotspots are ? AnOther
Do they do anything like BT's FON ?I would guess probably not as there is no facility in a Livebox for allocating a public WiFi slot for it.
Danny
There is for the livebox pro but not for the domestic version.Orange business customers with a livebox pro can create a wifi hotspot.http://www.orange-wifi.com/operations/comment.htmDanny
AnOther
Seems the ideal solution to the thorny problem of guest access for Gite owners etc, how does one qualify for a Livebox Pro or can you buy it ?
Danny
You just sign up for a professional account instead.http://abonnez-vous.orange.fr/pro/forfaits/hdTelPro.aspx?idnode=299http://abonnez-vous.orange.fr/pro/forfaits/hautDebitPro.aspx?idnode=305it is more expensive than the products aimed at the home market.Danny
Danny
Only problem is.....it is not free for those using the wifi so not really useful for gite owners etc.Danny
