George
Anybody have any thoughts on user profiles eg any past problems? Not many people seem to use them, a shame really, as I feel there are occasions when it could be useful?RegardsGeorge
Anton Redman
Always felt they were an under used resource but that many people did not know they existed or how to set them up or check them.Clearly American derived. One user filed in "Exhausted" in the State Box which appealed to my sense of humour. Nobody seems to know what ICQ means.
IanSue
There have been instances in the past where users have received threats and unsavory mail from details recorded in the profiles. At the time the recomendation from other users was to remove personal details. I agree this is a shame, but unfortunatly this is the world in which we live.Perhaps we should all consider using the inbox feature provided a little more!Ian
Maggiemortimer
I've never known how one 'obtains' a user profile. I had intended asking my computer teacher next term but she seems more interested in teaching me how to do charts etc., something I'll probably never need. With the new sections that have been added, it would be lovely to have a 'Stupid Question' one where we can ask things that we feel we should already know.Maggie
shirley1
I guess the profile should be fairly non specific but it is quite nice to know just a little bit about some of you more prolific notice posters
