NormanH
I posted a while back, concerned about the new Google privacy policy. It seems I was not the only one!http://www.guardian.co.uk/technology/2012/mar/01/google-privacy-policy-changes-euNice one CNIL...If you want to read a bit about what Google can do with your info look here (and perhaps use a few of the add-ons mentioned) http://donttrack.us/I am now using DuckDuckGo as my search engine... cooperlola
I did see your other thread.I do think it's rather sad that Google did this because Android seems to me to be a real alternative to Apple and there's no doubt that they are doing Apple's work for them (they will do everything they can to crush Adroid as they are currently attempting to do to the Kindle) by shooting themselves in the foot in this way. I do hope they see sense and backtrack on this before people start voting with their feet. Whatever the outcome of the CNIL's move, if I were in charge of marketing for Google I'd be lobbying my colleagues for a move from within before events overtake them. NickP
Forgive what to you maybe a naive question, But doesn't in "private browsing" from Internet explorer cover any spreading/collecting of information by search engines?
NormanH
I'm not sure if this answers your questionhttps://www.pcworld.com/article/250327/microsoft_says_google_circumvents_ie_privacy_policies_too.html#tk.hp_newI use firefox, but to be honest I am not certain how effective the private browsing is, especially against LSO cookieshttps://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/betterprivacy/

I only use Google to log in to YouTube, but I have taken your advice and have downloaded the Duck, we'll see how it quacks?
