NormanH
I have some friends who have taken over a business but also moved from one part of town to another.Perhaps foolishly they have kept the old name.Unfortunately if you so a google search the old address and details show up alongside the new one, and in fact more frequently. Is there any way to correct this? Chiefluvvie
Hi Norman - they need to take a look at the web addresses / links that the Google search is returning and correct the information on those sites. Nothing to do with Google - they just tell you what's out there!Any changes may take a few days to propagate around the web!Chiefluvvie

woolybanana
Norman, sometimes I think a brain lurks under that gruff, effete exterior!!!
AnOther
Cached information hosted on 3rd party servers you may never be rid of it altogether as it's only when that is edited or deleted that Google's indexing bots will capture it.How many times have you searched for something and got results which are several years old ?You can even deliberately search for old info by including a year in your search phrase.
