Quillan
My dish is currently pointing at Hot Bird @ 13deg but it seems you can receive it from two others i.e. Astra @ 19.2deg and Atlantic Bird 3 @ 5deg. My question is are they all the same and/or is there a preferred satellite? I tried looking on the Orange website but the particular page does not load in Chrome or IE. Jako
Check here: http://en.kingofsat.net/pack-orange.phpIt looks like 13e offers less channels, e.g. all the France3 local stations. 5 west adds a few French FTA channels, so I guess that would give best value for money. AnOther
Q if you fit a monobloc LNB you'll get both 13deg and 19.2deg of the same down lead. Not sure what 5W carries that a combination of those doesn't and I have neither the time nor the will to do a side by side comparison ! Jako
If you like the six new HD channels that were added to the free TNT package, you should definitely move your dish to 5 west. On Astra (TNTSAT) only four channels were added and only one of them in HD (Chérie 25). All six channels were added to the Orange and Fransat package on 5 west and all six in HD.
