mazandcol
Hi, I'm hoping someone who kows about these things can offer some suggestions...We're in Lot et Garonne and our location is a bit tricky for reception as we're at the bottom of a cliff face which has meant placing our dishes on a pole. We have two dishes (UK and French TV) and a Sedea S1000 box which switches between the dishes. Everything's been OK until last week when we suddenly and completely lost any signal to the box. Man came round and said the pole had moved, so he re-aligned the dishes and the box showed signal strength and quality of about 80% each. So far so good. However, we needed to re-scan and we've finished up with very different channels. The 28.2E is especially affected and has lost all the channels we had before (inc UK) and only found German and Polish TVAny ideas?Steve
Pierre ZFP
Sounds like the dish is pointing at the wrong satellite. If you can identify some channel, you could look on Lyngsathttp://www.lyngsat.com/europe.htmland try and identify what Sat they are on, possibly you are picking up Eutelsat which is close to the Astra cluster
mazandcol
Thanks very much Pierre, using the link you posted I've discovered the channels are on Astra 1KR at 19.2E - so it looks like the 'switch' isn't working properly and is not switching between the two dishes (which are pointing at 19.2E and 28.2E)Time to check the switch...Steve
