Wils
Lately the BBC have been showing advertisements showing how you can take their BBC Iplayer programmes, downloaded, with you on the train etc using your phone or tablet. I have an Asus fonpad (Nexus 7 by another name), I also use a VPN. When I access BBC Iplayer and choose my programme, it allows me to watch it but there is no facility to download it. I am using Iplayer on my computer so it is unlikely to be 'driver error', does anyone have any information on how to over come this?
YCCMB
It's never been a problem for me on an Ipad. Are you sure that the programmes you are trying to download are available for download (on whatever hardware)? Not everything is.
Wils
Thanks for the reply Betty , I have checked and no programmes give me the option to download. It may be different on the Ipad, I was hoping someone with an Android tablet could confirm they had a similar experience or not as the case may be. YCCMB
It's only available to a limited number of android devices, apparently. There's this article on the BBC website which includes a list:http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-23987364
Wils
Well that solves it then, I'm not on the list! Thank you for finding this for me.
