Ecossais
A Pay As You Go mobile is a téléphone prépayé. Orange phones are locked to the Orange network. You should ask to try a French Orange SIM in your phone (or try a friends) before buying to ensure that the French SIM will be compatible with your phone. The PhoneHouse (Carphone Warehouse’s French chain) sell them for €30. Same price from France Telecom / Orange. EuroTrash
I could be wrong but I don't think Orange FR is the same as Orange UK. If that is so, you have no particular reason to choose Orange FR, because either your phone is unlocked and you can choose any provider you like, or it isn't unlocked, Orange FR won't work, and you will have to get it unlocked.Be aware too that on most prepaid French tarifs, the credit you buy has limited life and any unused credit will expire at the end of the week/month/whatever the period is. Also the sim card itself usually expires after a prolonged period without making or receiving a call. If you're just visiting France, buying a French sim might be a waste of money. It's not something you can buy, keep in a drawer, get it out a year later and expect it to still work.
