mint
I have a mobile that is originally with Orange but which I want to unlock so that I can use it with the new SIM that will arrive when I manage to sign on with Sosh.Emailed Orange through their client assistance page and within 24 hours they sent me a code for unlocking the phone. I had to give the model and IMEI number. So far so good, except I don't know what to do with the code![:$]I have tried a couple of SIMs tonight and the message is always "wrong card". How do I "tell" the phone I want to unlock it and input the code they have sent me?Thank you for your help.
suein56
Mint you do not need to bother as the Sosh sim card will work without you needing to do anything. The Sosh Livebox you receive will be an Orange one, with all Orange Info and booklet and Orange telephone contact numbers on the back, though you are supposed to ring the Sosh number if you need phone help. The friend whom I helped swap over to Sosh from Orange at the beginning of July did not even need to change her sim card for the new one - thereby saving herself a euro !Worry not, all should be fine.Sue
mint
Wow, Sue, that is incredible! When I say it's with Orange, I mean that I haven't used it for a fair few years and it was in the days when you needed to buy a mobicarte and the damned thing would expire and you'd lose all your money.Good news indeed, thank you[kiss]

[/quote]Perhaps I had better change that to : the Sosh sim card should work without you needing to do anything ... just to cover myself !! mint
Sue, ne t'en fais pas. If it doesn't work, I only have to "tchat" to one of their people and give them the code for unlocking and.............voilà, on verra?Actually, I never had a forfait, just a PAYG because we were waiting for what was then France Telecom to put up a pole to enable us to have a service at all!How things have changed and there is now choice and competition (well, a bit) in France? idun
Good luck and I hope that you are successful. My old orange PAYG is in a drawer, unusable. When I got back to the UK I had all the numbers to unblock it and nothing worked and I tried a few unblocking shops and they couldn't either. Cost me £10 for a new simple phone, but I would still have prefered it to work.
