Fittersmate
Have been trying to connect new tv to Livebox 2 wifi. Have entered the security code and then get message that tv can't access it. Have had no problem before with laptops or printers etc. Any advice welcomed.
Lehaut
In the options setting for the TV have you activated access to internet by WiFi and not LAN?
Harnser
Yes. The tv recognises the Livebox but once the security code is typed in and entered a message says that it cannot access. Have contacted Orange who said something about configuration needed and they offered to get an "expert" to give advice "a distance". Understanding day to day french over the phone is difficult enough but technical french would be impossible for me. Will try the english help line next week - have wasted so much time this week trying to sort it out!
AnOther
When WiFi connection problems crop up it's worthwhile temporarily turning off the security to see if it works without it, if so you know where the problem is and you can reintroduce security starting from the lowest level which is WEP.If you don't need security - and not everybody does - then just leave it off.NOTE: in the Livebox disabling security automatically enables MAC filtering so you will need to disable that afterwards. Harnser
It turns out that the bloody thing WAS connected to t'internet, but it kept it a secret - as there is no indication as such.Smart? - Hmmm
