URGENT one woman SPA needs serious help fast!

Hi folks,

This is a serious plea from me, in Morbihan. I've been here 7 yrs and have 20 yrs experience of rescue animals. To cut a long story short, this year I have taken on 2 abandoned bitches, I geriatric beagle in an horrific state who has produced 11 delightful puppies and become a delightful house dog - I could write the book - she is a gem, and 1 approx 3 yr old black labradorishcrossbred bitch, who despite efforts to the contrary has produced 8 newfoundland X pups.

I am at the end of my tether as the beagle & pups are fine but the younger bitch is not. I am on the verge of having to face having both her and the pups put down. The bitch is unhappy with me - there are too many other dogs - 8 other loose dogs in my hamlet - and she is randomly aggressive towards them. She is not maternal, but will accept help with the pups. They were born on the 13 oct. I have tried everything I know in French & English to find foster homes for the pups, to give them a chance to be socialised correctly and re-home. If I cannot find a less chaotic pref one or two person home with fencing for the bitch then I will have to have her put down. She is not vicious, but here, I am continually worried as to what may happen. So far she has been 100% around kids, but I fear that her unpredictability around other dogs is too serious to be ignored. This dog is fine with cats & livestock. She is a picky feeder, would do anything to eat a cigarette butt, needs a lot more/different than I can offer. I had found a good home for her, got her jabs & carnet but it fell through. We call her Kir. She is bright, affectionate, responsive to gentle handling, not easy, but not yet impossible. She has plenty of opportunity to really mess up, but always holds back - other wise I would have no doubts in my minsd about having her destroyed. I think I can get through this week, beginning of next, but I am sick at the thought of finding a vet (don't think mine will) who will do the deed just because I cannot find a way to give her another chance.

My local SPA will not take her and have advised that I get the pups put down. I honestly considered reducing them from 8 to 1 or 2 after she whelped, but at the time, she was so protective of them I let her be.

My personal circumstances are so ridiculous at the moment that the 19 puppies are the least of my worries, but a dog doesn't understand that! If anyone can help in any way I would be so pathetically grateful. I am willing to try anything and if it doesn't work out will have pups/bitch back and deal as I can.

I am so pushed for time that I cannot post more than this, but mail me and I will provide as much info as possible.
