Hoddy
I’m sure this doesn’t apply to anyone here ......... but just in case.I was driving back from the cinema (Miss Potter) through a well-lit little town in the pouring rain. A woman crossed the road ahead of me and it wasn’t until I was closer than I would have liked to have been that I noticed that her dog was following about 6 feet behind on one of those extendable leads. Luckily I saw it in time and was able to brake, but it could have been a different story. Please remember to keep your dogs to heel when crossing busy roads, especially in the dark.Hoddy
Bugsy
You could also ask why the common french practice of having your dog on no lead in the city exists, I've never understood that one and it's not just the 'wino's'.
PossumGirl
I've taught mine to sit and wait by my side before crossing the street; it's very useful.PG
