bob robinson
2 months ago on the 12th March 2008 we had our motor home broken into in Provence. The most important item which was stolen being our little parrot, a black headed caique called Sammy. We spent three weeks doing all we could think of to find him - posters, vets, pet shops etc but we were eventually forced to return home without him. We have not given up hope but obviously our lines of enquiry are necessarily limited. We have put up a web site offering a reward and live in hope that either greed or compassion might stimulate a reply. We have heard that there is a large Gypsy gathering this weekend in the Camargue and although we cannot manage to get there ourselves, we wonder if any of your members might be attending any of the markets which take place. If so is it possible to put out a plea for them to look out for Sammy for us? The website is findsammy.org.uk and we have offered a reward of 1000 Euros for his recovery Apart from being a very distinctive looking bird, Sammy has some feathers permanently missing on his left thigh where he had a feather problem some years ago. He says ""hello" "where's mummy" and where's Sammy" wolf whistles and is quite people friendly. He was taken in a white budgie sized cage with wooden perches and a ladder. He also has a microchip in his chest which would provide definitive identification. If anyone saw a bird fitting his description we would be grateful for a call on 0044 1352 780775 or 0044 7957 846997. We would come and collect him and reimburse any expense incurred. Please help us if you can. I would be grateful if you could let me know if you have received this and whether you feel there is anything you can do

Christine Animal
Sammy could have been taken anywhere by now, but perhaps you could try putting him on AngloInfo Provencehttp://provence.angloinfo.com/forum/forum.asp?FID=26&page=
