Le_Jars
How do I say that in French exactly? I want the wording to be 'Free to a good home' or 'a loving home' if there is a proper equivalent? I need to describe one as a 'mongrel' terrier also. Not doing it to my dog (god forbid!) but a friend's dogs. Many thanks in advance.
Christine Animal
If you put free to a good home in French ads, you have to be very careful where the dog goes. There are plenty of dishonest people scouring the ads to get a dog for nothing and you don't know where it might end up. Don't forget that any change of hands means the dog has to be identified by chip or tattoo. That is the law, even if you are giving it away.Without knowing what the dog looks like, you could say "croisé Terrier" and ask for a participation towards the chipping and vaccinations. Why don't you start by putting him on here? Le_Jars
I'll pass all this information on, as I say I'm doing an ad for a friend. When I can work out how to phrase it anyway! This is Indy...sorry for the rubbish photo...she's the Jack RussellAnd this is Alfie, the cross thingy...A lively little thing he is! The more information the better.I'm not in a position to take them but i'll keep my ears open for anyone looking for a small dog or 2.[:D]

Le_Jars
Anyone know how to say 'free to a loving home'?
Moorejw
The French ads usually say 'donne contre bon soins' donated in exchange for good care. That is the best translation you will find that will be understood by French readers. Good luck!
Chrissie
I think it is "A donner, seulement contre bons soins."Someone will correct my spelling, I'm sure!Chrissie (81)

Christine Animal
Be careful where little Indy goes. Jack Russells are the fashion and if she is not spayed, she could well be used. Please make sure they do go to good homes.
