eve
I will be moving over to our home in Pas de Calais permanently this summer. We have 2 rescue dogs and when we are all settled properly intend to adopt another one (or two [:D]). Meantime though I'd like to volunteer at local rescues/refuges. In the UK I homecheck, transport, fundraise and foster for several small rescues. Can you do the same in France? As I will not be working I would also like to get more involved and perhaps help a bit more, maybe dogwalking or kennel cleaning etc. How do I go about finding these rescues - would my vet be a good first port of call? I know there is an SPA in St Omer, which is about an hour away from me, but I would really like to volunteer for the smaller, more local refuges. Any ideas where to start?
