alleycat
Where abouts are you? The Phoenix Association near Bergerac would have something to be sure. Sounds like you would have a lovely home for some lucky little pup - that's so nice.
alleycat
I'm sorry - I'm goofey and missed the fact that you said where you were because it was so good to read something happy for a change!
cooperlola
There's a rescue centre near Yvres L'Eveque. It seems very well run and always overflowing with dogs needing homes. If I hear of any around apart from that, I'll let you know.
johnycarper
we tried the dog centre last week and they were all to old as we think anything too old may upset our dog and thats not fair on either, but if you should here of anything please let us know. johnycarper
No problem but thanks for trying we will keep looking and one day find a very lucky dog who will i suspect like our own dog rule the roost. We have looked in the pet stores and seeen some lovely puppys but at 800 euros we would rather give an unwanted dog a good home. val douest
One place which may be worth a look is www.leboncoin.fr. If you select Pays de la Loire and animaux, and then put 'chiots donne' in the keywords box on the left, you should get quite a selection of puppies free to good homes, including some from vets and other people trying to save them from euthanasia. If you can go a little further afield geographically then there are of course even more to choose from. And as someone has already mentioned there are puppies on the Phoenix adoption page (http://www.phoenixasso.com/adoption.php3). If all else fails then mention to your vet that you may be able to offer a home to an unwanted puppy: you may just save him from having to put one down. Please let us know how you get on...Val

Jouals
Yes, please do try and re-home an unwanted puppy if you can - there are so many looking for a good home like yours. I am sure it won't take long for you to find the right one. Sadly unwanted puppies are so often just put to sleep, or worse!Good luckJouals
