Kerosene ?

What is the equivalent of kerosene here in France. We use red diesel in our tracotors, diggers etc. and where we buy this from it is also advertised as for use in heating systems called FIOUL.

Now we have been offered a cheap oil fired range that runs well on Kerosene which can be bought in the UK in bulk at about 20p per litre, we pay more than that for red diesel at the moment.

Does anyone know whether the 'petrole' that can be bought for the small indoor gas fires is what we call kerosene and if this is available in bulk, it is still more than 20p per litre though.
