Merlin
Safi and Tilli - have two weeks to find a home before their English family have to leave France. Don't want to hear how awful this is........ we KNOW it is and the family are in a mess and all I want to do is help the dogs. They are both female, vaccinated, chipped and spayed. The blue roan is 11 years old and is very very gentle and loving. The buff ons is only four and a little excitable when she's been left and the family come home but very kind and sweet. They are near Narbonne and will be going to the Spa in Carcassonne if a home can't be found for them within the next two weeks. I will be getting more information about cats etc - they are both very good with children as there are four in the family.
Merlin
Never been with poultry but there was a pet rabbit that had the run of the house and garden and Safi (the older one) never bothered with it even when it used to run and shoot round the garden and house. So I'm guessing she would be ok with cats as the owner says she just wants affection and a quite life though she's full of beans when she sees a ball to be thrown for her! Jouals
Hi MerlinOh dear! I don't suppose they are passported for the UK?? Sounds like they are not. But it still might be worth posting them on the Cockers On Line Forum - they have a rescue section on there (which sadly is always active!) - you never know! A lot of people look at this site and it might spark a rescue!http://www.cockersonline.co.uk/cms/Jouals
Merlin
Thanks Jouals - will definitely try that link - but in the meantime I have found a temporary foster home for one of them after Christmas......... same lady that helped me with the two terriers bless her! Their owner has promised me she will hang on till then and I am going to get them away somehow as soon as I can in the new year. So some light at the end of the tunnel for these two hopefully. Jouals
That's a good bit of progress Merlin! When you look at the site under the rescue section on the forum - you will see there are also various rescue organisations for cockers - I think one is called Tiny Tears - they might be able to help too. Seems cockers warrant rescue organisations all of their own - with all the abandoned breeding cockers etc - thanks to people buying puppies from unscrupulous breeders! Don't get me started! Good luckJouals
Merlin
As I write, a friend is on his way to collect these two and take them to a wonderful new home tomorrow where they will be together with a very kind English family - long journey for them but happiness and safety waits at the other end.
