Christine Animal
The situation is terrible everywhere and the SPA Poitiers is no exception. They are so devoted and do so much to save their cats and dogs, but more keep coming in. Maybe one of these needy dogs could catch someone's eye. PEGASE. He was brought in by the pompiers and was not claimed. Only about a year old. http://spapoitiers.positifforum.com/t4852-pegase-berger-epagneul-breton-11-280f-01-06-11-poitiers WILLY said to be adorable and very loving. Abandoned because he used to run off (probably not fenced). Date of birth around August 2008.http://spapoitiers.positifforum.com/t4631-willy-croise-berger-11-23r-25-03-11 And there are plenty more on their forum!http://spapoitiers.positifforum.com/f1-les-chiens-a-adopterIf not neutered, this can be done by one of their vets at a reduced rate. Merlin
You're right Christine, some real beauties at this SPA and as SPA's go it looks like a good clean place compared with some I know!
Christine Animal
Yes, it is a very good refuge Merlin and they also have a section on their forum for the oldies, handicapped and category (dangerous) dogs.http://spapoitiers.positifforum.com/f33-urgence-sauvetageThe dogs over ten years of age benefit from the Opération Doyens 30 Millions d'Amis, which means they can have up to 600 euros of vet's fees reimbursed. This is to encourage people to adopt an older dog.Opération doyens
