Christine Animal
I expect you've all seen this going on, but I've only just come across it. Another poor innocent dog, this time in Belfast, taken from his family, kept in terrible conditions for two years and finally put down. Like Kenzo here in France, my lovely Lily in Niort and so many others, just because of their appearance and such stupid people. They used to be "Nanny dogs" watching over children. We had a three legged American Staffordshire when he was very young and he died not long ago aged fourteen. He was gentle and friendly with everyone and really loved people. One of the cats used to snuggle up with him. He at least had a happy life.International Battle fails to save Lennox the Belfast doghttp://www.swaylove.org/embarrassed-for-humanity-today
Russethouse
Was this the dog that was confiscated during its regular walk, never bit anyone and was a much loved family pet ?I heard about it on the Matthew Wright show A few weeks ago.Very sad
mellybelly
Can't look at the story.......they are usually are too distressing.I've got a 12 year old staffie who is the most patient, tolerant, gentle, loyal, trustworthy dog I've ever owned. At the end of the day it's all usually about the owners.Hope this kind of intolerance can be helped by good publicity and positive ownership.Mel. Christine Animal
I don't think he was taken while out for a walk RH like Kenzo. I think I read someone came to the house and took him away.During the two years his family were never allowed to see him nor say goodbye. What they and Lennox went through, how could anyone be so cruel. There was support for him all over the world. Someone in the States even offered to give him a home to save him where the laws are not the same.Photos on the links below show the state of poor Lennox in the council's "care". Perhaps the family were not allowed to see him and he was not freed so noone could see what they had done to him. http://savelennox.com/2012/04/28/victoria-stilwell-shocked-at-lennox-health-condition/http://www.sott.net/articles/show/245833-Belfast-City-Council-is-Torturing-Lennox-a-Disabled-Child-s-Therapy-Dog[:(]
Russethouse
When I saw the Lennox feature there was a phone in, it may have been one of the callers who had their dog confiscated while on a normal walk. I know one of the callers managed to get their dog back, after a fight with the powers that be. Poor Lennox.
