Stevens
For our 3 week break we plan to take the dogs (as always) AND the cat, does anyone travel to and fro with a cat? do they settle in or do you keep them in the house permanently?

Penny29
Hi,When in the UK we used to take our cats on holiday to a cottage with us every year. We would keep them in for the first few days and then take them out in our arms to show them the gardens etc. They were confident cats and always settled in very well. Our problems always started at the end of each holiday. Those cats had a built-in "Hell, they are going back to that Awful London Place" radar and they would swiftly do a disappearing act on the last day. The worst time was when Jnr secreted herself in the fields behind the cottage and refused to come back - we were packed up and ready to go by 9am but 10 long hours later we were still vainly trying to find the cat! At one point we thought we were going to have to book a B & B in the area for the night!Penny
