LIMOGES DOGGY HOSPITAL EXCELLANT AGAIN

I posted a message about 18 months ago saying how good the vet clinic at Limoges was and again I have to do so.

On Christmas day our border collie started falling over as he had 18 months previously so we jumped in the car and went straight to Limoges Vet Clinic as they advertise being open 24/7 365/365. When arriving at 2.30 pm you have to use an outside phone and dial 900 to contact the vet on call which we did and he said he would arrive in 20 minutes. 15 minutes later he came and took us into the clinic. He only spoke French but we managed ok and after examining our dog said it was necessary to refer us to the specialist vet we had seen 18 months before, they still had our notes, but gave a cortisone injection and steroid tablets until Wednesday 29th to see the specialist. When I asked him how much he said "no not today wait until Wednesday" and we apologised for disturbing his day and he shrugged saying "no problem its my work".

So back we went this Wednesday, very stressed, and after a further examination the vet said it was necessary this time for a brain scan for our little collie. We need to establish whether he has a tumour or has suffered a minor stroke. However, no longer could he use the facility at the CHU Hospital, we would have to go to Toulouse or Paris!!! Well we chose Toulouse and he rang today with an appointment for next Wednesday at 9.00 am. Cost 260 euro for the scan, and for Christmas day and medication 128 euro, which we think is superb.

This scanner at Toulouse is at a vet clinic but is a human scanner can you believe costing around 600,000 euros! So if anyone has a spare few bob to donate????????
