Val_2 Posted July 20, 2004 Share Posted July 20, 2004 Just to set the record straight, it does exist here and there is nothing the land owner can do if it is connected with a public project. This came to light last night at council when we discussed the building of a new 3million euro sewage station that the three communes will share here and the route it will take. It has to follow a water course which passes through several properties before it gets to the coastal basin some two miles away and the owners will be notified of a purchase offer which if they refuse,it will be compulsorily purchased by the commune/dept. So, if you have lots of land and get wind of any community projects in the air like this that could affect your property,be warned that you could lose out and not get a lot of compensation if you refuse a fair offer.
