Nickd
Jenny, our little white Bantam lays blue eggs and very proud of them she is too - makes a hell of a row about it afterwards!Nick

Nickd
Yes, Araucaunas are what they are, so my learned wife has confirmed for me. Apparently they can lay eggs in various colours, not only blue, but also green and rose - I guess different ones lay different colours. The day our Jenny lays a green one I'll want to know what she's been up to!Nick

Deimos
Walking in the fields the other day I found a blue egg shell on the path under a tree. No chickens within a Km or so. Egg must have been quite small (little over 1 inch max length). I believe it had hatched but could see no nest in the tree above (and no mess on the ground around the egg). And ideas ?
