londoneye
Hi AllWe have a house in the Limousin area of france and are planning to move to said in spring next year. Dont know yet if for ever or for trial! We want to buy/rescue a puppy. In reality we pretty much have our hearts set on a leonberger puppy, for many reasons, prime amongst which is that we have a lovely stroppy rescue cat of 2 years old (ex Battersea) and we could not bear for him to become anything less than the definite head of the household he is right now. We heard Leonbergers were particularly good with other animals. Feel a big guilty because we have always done the rescue thing before with pets - part of me feels terrible for wanting to pay so much for a dog when there must be so many around in need of homes - nonetheless little***** as we call the cat takes first priority and i figure a puppy would be (kind of) tolerable to him, whereas an adult would not be.Question - does anyone know of a leoberger breeder in the area, or alternatively would be willing to consider any old mut as a rescue but would have to be a puppy for reasons given above - therefore rescue centres - do they exist in that area ? thanks for any responseslondoneye
Mlonghurst
Hi there, I have only just seen you request so a bot late. There is a lady that breed Leonburgers in the Allier. I know that there is a waiting list and I would hgave thought that the purchase price would be quite expensive and their upkeep due to their massive size. I you are still interested I will seek out her web address for you. Rgds, Mike L
