Phobias and Xanax

After hearing lots of good reports from friends, I finally decided to try Xanax with Maggie for thunderstorms, etc.  We haven't had any big t-storms, although I've used it for a couple of short lived ones and thought it was working.

But, last night was our village fireworks show and I gave it to her for that.  It was downright miraculous, as the fireworks were right behind our house and very, very loud.  As soon as we turned off the lights to go to bed, she just lay down and went to sleep without any of the typical panic that she shows during such events.

I was very, very pleased and feel that it is now something we must keep on hand at all times.
