Maria Posted December 15, 2006 Share Posted December 15, 2006 We are thinking of moving with our three horses, three dogs and a cat to the area south of Rennes, west of Angers and north of Nantes. We are both keen riders and I like to do low level/club dressage. One of our horses is very fly sensitive and so we would like to know what is the worst this problem is in summer. Also is there enough wet weather to keep the grass growing but leave us content besides a swimming pool?How plentiful is hay/haylage in the winter?Is there any problem getting a good farrier and what is the average price for shoeing?Most important what and where are the best areas for off-road riding?We are looking for somewhere with about 3 hectares upwards and only two bedrooms with the necessary outbuildings for the horses.
