Monika
My daughter in law has just adopted another rescue male kitten (4 month old). She has already got two females approx. 9 months old. I would think that it would be fine just to let them be together as soon as possible. She and my son think that they should be kept apart for several days. I would be grateful for an opinion? Val_2
I'm on my sixth kitten in the past ten years and I would say that the sooner they all get together the better especially if there are two females. Our latest who arrived at 8 weeks was taken straight away under the wing of our 3 year huge male and he absolutely adores her. On thursday she went to be spayed and he just wandered around the house all day looking for her, once back and left in her cage for the night to protect her,he never left her side. Just keep an eye out if they tussle and get scratched as they can easily turn into abcesses.
Russethouse
We were forced to keep a new cat away from an established older cat as the newcomer was very poorly, they really never got on that well so I would be inclined to let them mix but just keep an eye for a few days. Monika
Thank you to both of you. I passed on your advice and I think they are going to try a short "get together", tonight!!!
