Peterm
Does anyone have any information re alpaca keeping/breeding in France? (Our house is in Manche, on the west coast near Barneville-Carteret but I'm not aware of any in our vicinity). Peter & Sue

tracteurtom
Perhaps you could explain the point of keeping Alpacas ? To me they seem to by a british fad, cute yes but useless for anything apart from the fleece - and very very expensive (far more than their practical worth). Why not be a bit more french and keep sheep or goats, pick the right breed and the fleece is as good as Alpacas or keep a meat or milk variant and that seems far more practical IMHO.
