rescued greyhound for adoption

Manolito is a beautiful 4 year old Galgo (spanish greyhound) who has been rescued by Amigos de los Galgos in Madrid.  He is currently with a foster home near Carcassonne and is looking for a permanent family to give him a loving home.  He is very placid, calm and loving, he is castrated, vaccinated, has a european passport (not for uk) is 70cm tall and is good with other dogs and people.  He needs a home that has a large, well fenced garden and preferably no cats - greyhounds make wonderful, docile pets, and contrary to popular belief do not need much exercise!  If you are considering getting a rescue dog please think of helping the thousands of greyhounds that are in desperate need in Spain. Thankyou.

Everything Ratsy says about Manolito is true of all Greyhounds in general. Unable to help in this instance ourselves as we have a full house and regular fosters here, but I would just like to boost his chances if anyone is not sure. Our recently deceased Lira, rescued from racing in Holland, used to lie full length between my legs propped on a stool, her head on my chest, occasionally looking up to gaze into my eyes. A lasting memory because that was what she was doing when she breathed her last at the age of 12 1/2 last month. Now, how can you resist.?[:)]
