Pauline Posted April 5, 2010 Share Posted April 5, 2010 I know this topic has been covered so many times but Its Bank holiday and I have both dogs booked in for a booster rabies in our prep for moving to france this year and I am paranoid about getting it wrong. It shows on the passport they were vaccinated 07 valid to 08, then again 08 and it says valid to 2011, do they need doing 2010 or is this normal to have it last 2years? can anyone clarify for me please. Rowan Posted April 5, 2010 Share Posted April 5, 2010 The British vaccine is now valid for 3 years, the French vaccine for one only (although it is the same vaccine, go figure!) Your dogs are fine, they don't need boosters. And they can return to UK without any problems (apart from the other mandatory vet treatment (heartworms etc) as long as the rabies vaccine is in date (ie till 2011).
