Fay
This from the RSPCA Facebook/Web page:RSPCA - official (Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) We are searching for the owners of a French cat who has turned up in a Buckinghamshire village. He was seen wandering around Cosgrove, Milton Keynes and had a French micro-chip registered to an address in Normandy! Unless a local owner can be found, with the appropriate vaccination certificates and pet passport, the feline will have to go into quarantine for six months before he can be re-homed.We really hope that this appeal will ring a bell with someone. Anyone with any information about this cat should call our local branch office on 01908 611179He's a beautiful big, fluffy ginger and white boy - anybody in Normandy know anyone who has recently taken such a cat to the UK? Christine Animal
Isn't their name on the chip registration? Hey, didn't Judith recently go back from Normandy with several cats and one disappeared?Has this been posted on AI Normandy?
Fay
RSPCA being a teeny bit feeble, haven't given a name or the name of the village. I expect it's out of their normal area of expertise! I've suggested they try DEFRA because they should have Pet Passport details linked to the microchip number.Gosh, it would be great if this cat were the missing one!Yes, someone's just posted it on AI Normandy, I've posted on TF and Survive France. Christine Animal
It was Judie, Will's wife. I've sent her a pm with a link to this thread.
Fay
I've emailed her too. Bucks is their other address - it just might be!! Dying to find out!
Fay
More info is that he's called Tommy. apparently. His owners name is English, too. But someone from the area now says he's been 'living rough' there for a long time...
Judie
What a coincidence and thanks so much, but unfortunately my cat is tabby and called Tiggy - he's still missing sadly.I've registered all my cats now with PetLog in the UK.
Fay
Ah what a shame... But it just goes to show that, even after a long time, they can turn up right as rain. Fingers crossed for Tiggy, Judie.
goose
There is a photo of the cat on the Daily mail website. He looks like a beautiful cat too. Hope he finds his owners soon.
Christine Animal
If someone took the trouble to have him chipped and take him back, he was important to them. It's a shame that all this time he has been outside alone, noone took him in before.
