oliveau
My wife has difficulty walking unaided and has had a 4 wheel walker provided under the provisions of securité sociale. Eventually the tyres wore out on the gravel around the house, so I tried to get new wheels only to find that 4 wheels were dearer than a new walker! However, these walkers are really only suitable for use in the house or on level ground. As we have an extensive garden I looked for an alternative and found this:http://www.trionic.biz/Veloped-Tour-Large-svartreflexroed?currency=EUR&osCsid=8h39q5uam7qru87lbmks3j6kv7It's absolutely brilliant if you are active and want to walk on rough ground or need to climb steps and curbs.Usual disclaimers - no connection with company etc.
NormanH
Are these also re-imbursed by the Sécu?I have the sort you mention which was prescribed by my Kiné, but wasn't given any option as to type.
sid
It looks substantail, but isn't it expensive!I don't know what type you had previously, but presumably it only had small wheels? My mother had one of these:http://www.simplelifemobility.co.uk/products/Walking-Aids/Rollators/Invacare-Dolomite-Jazz-520-Rollator/GreyThe garden wasn't rough stone though.
