Active as in with a hyperlink? If only I could ... I use Safari and I don't seem to have a hyperlink button available. Or could you help in that area?

If you look at the french books available for download then for the average little englander from the dordogne and aude it is likely to be a rather formiddable mega jump.[;-)]
