Oboulez
Our son starts maternelle in September. I seem to recall reading or hearing something about parents getting some form of allowance to buy necessary items for the child starting school. Does anybody have any knowledge of this and or how one can claim this?
Val_2
We used to get Allocation de Rentrée scolaire which was from the CAF and via your Allocation Familiale but if you only have one child, you won't receive that benefit here. The payment for the rentrée was also via your Declaration to the CAF made earlier in the year and is usually paid direct to your bank account mid August. idun
Also the allowance for rentrée scolaire is for school and not pre school. I cannot imagine what you would need that the child did not already have for maternelle. We never got anything for the rentree scolaire, it really does depend on your income.
